Questions people ask about all four

Do I need to take them in order?

No. None. There are no mandatory prerequisites or required courses - the credential is awarded on exam performance alone.

How long is each exam?

120 minutes for every certification, with a passing score of 720 on a scale of 100-1,000.

How long does a credential last?

12 months from the date the credential is awarded.

Where do I sit the exam?

Proctored: online proctored and/or test center, per program policy

Which one should I take first?

Match the exam to your job, not to a ladder. Associate is for people who use Claude; Developer is for people who build on it; Architect is for people who design systems with it.

Can anyone register?

The certification programme runs through the Claude Partner Network, so exam access depends on your organisation's partner status. The prep courses on the Academy are free.

What do the exam codes mean?

CCAO-F is Associate, CCDV-F is Developer, CCAR-F is Architect - Foundations and CCAR-P is Architect - Professional.
